Registration - Internet Supply List
You can apply for entry to the Internet Supply List on the PSI online registration portal. The entry is valid for 12 months after it is approved and must be renewed before the expiry date.
Note that the processes for entry are different for Registered Retail Pharmacy Businesses on Part A of the list and Non-Retail Pharmacy Businesses (suppliers that are not a pharmacy) on Part B of the list. Please read the relevant section for you below.
If you supply non-prescription medicines from more than one premises, a separate application must be made on the online registration portal for each premises you supply from, even if sales are made through one website.
Please pay particular attention to the Conditions for Use of the Common Logo. When your application is approved you will receive an email that includes the EU common logo which must be displayed on the website before the Internet supply of non-prescription medicines commence.
It is your responsibility to ensure the information provided to the PSI on the application is kept up to date. You must notify the PSI of any changes immediately by emailing internetsupply@psi.ie
The Company Secretary or the Nominated person for a registered pharmacy can submit an application for first time registration and for the yearly renewal and pay the fee. Visit our fees page for more information.
You must log into your account on the PSI online registration portal and select ‘Internet Supply List’ and then ‘Apply for Entry to the Internet Supply List’. Then select ‘Add or Renew a Retail Pharmacy Business’ and select the correct option for new entry or yearly renewal. Please use the guides below to ensure you submit the correct application.
When you have submitted a first-time entry application you will receive an email when it is approved. The email includes the EU common logo, your registration number and the date registered on the Internet Supply List.
You will receive two reminders. The first reminder will be in 30 days and the second will be in 15 days, before the expiry date of your registration by email. If you do not renew the registration before the expiry date, you will be removed from the internet supply list and will receive an email asking you to cease the online sale of non-prescription medicines and remove the EU common logo. The person who is nominated to submit the application for entry and the yearly renewal must set up an account on the PSI online registration portal. Please sign up as ‘other’ (not as a pharmacist) and include a contact telephone number. Then you can submit an application for first time registration or for the yearly renewal and pay the fee. Select ‘Internet Supply List’ and ‘Apply for Entry to the Internet Supply List’. Then select ‘Add or Renew a Non-Retail Pharmacy Business’ and select the correct option for new entry or yearly renewal. - Supplier name and address
- Registered name of company, registration number and address
- Company type
- Website trading name and address
Also, you must upload a floor plan of the shop/warehouse. This plan should:
- Identify the dimensions of the entire premises from which the non-prescription medicines are supplied and the use/business use of the other parts of the premises (in m2)
- Identify the dimensions of any storage area where medicinal products or records related to the online supply are located (in m2)

You may apply to be removed from the Internet Supply List at any time.
If you wish to cancel your registration on the Internet Supply List (ISL) before the expiry date of your registration, please send an email to info@psi.ie with the following information:
- ISL registration number and trading name
- The date you wish to cancel your registration (at least 5 workdays after the email is sent)
Please note that the email must be sent from the nominated person for the ISL entry using the email address linked to their account on the PSI registration portal.
The PSI may remove an entry from the Internet Supply List if you:
- fail to make an application for the relevant 12-month period;
- fail to comply with the requirements of the regulations;
- fail to respond to a written request from the PSI seeking confirmation that they continue to offer to sell non-prescription medicines online;
- have submitted information to the PSI which is false or inaccurate.
The website selling the non-prescription medicinal products must contain the following:
- The contact details for the PSI i.e., address, telephone number, email address.
- The common logo on every page of the website which relates to the sale of medicinal products online, including a link to the actual Internet Supply List on the PSI website.
- A statement stating that a record of each transaction will be retained for two years.
If you sell products to consumers via a website, your website and business must meet certain legal obligations regarding distance selling, eCommerce regulations and data protection requirements. You should refer to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission website for further information on the requirements for selling products online.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission enforces distance selling and e-commerce regulations and can investigate possible breaches of legislation or consumer rights. You should refer to the Data Protection Commissioner website for further information on your obligations in relation to data protection law.
