Call for expressions of interest for pharmacist appointments to a panel of expert witnesses
The PSI is seeking applications from pharmacists to act as expert witnesses before Committees of Inquiry in relation to fitness to practise complaints.
The role involves:
- Reviewing allegations of professional misconduct and poor professional performance
- Providing a written report and opinion on the allegations
- Giving oral evidence as required before the Committee of Inquiry
These allegations will be against a pharmacist and may extend to other allegations against a pharmacy owner, under the Pharmacy Act 2007.

What happens if my application is successful?
If you are a successful applicant, you will be placed on a Panel of Experts to be established under this Expression of Interest and mandatory training will be provided upon appointment. Training is currently scheduled to take place on Friday, 12 April 2024 and all successful applicants will be required to attend. This role is remunerated, and vouched expenses will be paid in accordance with standard PSI policy.
