Pharmacists and pharmaceutical assistants must be registered with the PSI if they wish to practise in Ireland. Pharmacies and Internet List Suppliers must also be registered with the PSI to open and operate.

The PSI is responsible for defining and ensuring the standards of education and training for pharmacists who qualify in Ireland. 

Anyone is entitled to make a complaint to the PSI, including the public and health professionals. This section explains the PSI’s complaint and disciplinary process, including what complaints we can consider, how you can make a complaint and what happens after a complaint is received.
