Speak with the Supervising or Superintendent Pharmacist

If you encounter an issue at a pharmacy, or are unhappy with the service you receive, most issues can be resolved by first talking to the pharmacists in charge, either the superintendent pharmacist or the supervising pharmacist.

Every Pharmacy has a superintendent pharmacist and a supervising pharmacist who are in charge of managing the pharmacy.  They will often be best placed to deal with your issue or query and will be able to do so in a timely fashion.

It is always a good idea to ask to speak to them at the time of the issue as they may be able to resolve the matter on the spot.  If they are unavailable at that time arrangements can be made to meet or have a phone call at a suitable time.

You will be able to find out who the superintendent pharmacist and supervising pharmacist is at your pharmacy by searching our register.

If your issue relates to pricing, or commercial matters for example, this is often the best place to start to have it addressed as the PSI cannot consider such matters as they are outside of our regulatory remit.
