Marie Louisa Power, PSI Council member

Louisa graduated from the School of Pharmacy, Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, in 2007. She also has a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy from Queens University, Belfast. Louisa has worked as a clinical pharmacist, up to Chief Pharmacist level, in private and public hospitals both in Ireland and the UK. She was appointed as the first medicines management inspector with the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) in 2013. In 2017, Louisa returned to the HSE as Chief II Pharmacist - Pharmacy Services with HSE Mid-West Community Healthcare. Louisa is currently on secondment with HSE’s National Quality and Patient Safety Directorate as Medication Safety Specialist Pharmacist in the National Medication Safety Programme. She is serving a second term on the PSI Council.

Louisa is a pharmacist appointee to the PSI Council.
